    Global warming my arse...

    It's cold.

    I'm wearing a jersey.

Where has my nice summer gone (not that it was here before...)??

What's it like in your neck of the woods?

    [edit: d'oh - what a lame-o 400th post!]

Its taking a while, but people are finally beginning to realize that the warming cycle has finished, and for the last 5 years or so we have been entering a cooling phase. Politicians and greenies are the last to cotton on to the actual data and are still bleating on about warming when the country has just experienced its coldest december in 33 years.

Now, didn't I learn somewhere that the Pacific Decadal Oscillation has a 33 year period, and that its warming cycle peaked in 1998-1999? Maybe science does know something that Politicians and Greenies don't.

    Wet and cold today.
We have had some nice days but it's more like Autumn with a few nice day throw-en in.
Feel the fear and do it anyway

Yep, that pretty much sums it up. Bloody terrible weather- we have the fire going, did yesterday too!

nice and sunny here today, if not a bit chilly. almost had a frost this morning, the bike didnt want to start after i accidentally stuffed the choke last week froze my fingers heading to work...work shirt, jersey and two jackets. rode home in tshirt and vest. winds picking up. likely to rain tomorrow.
slept starkers last night, and woke up before the alarm freezing my ass off literally.

I went for a ride up to the Bendigo diggings today, then decided to follow a 4WD track further up into the Dunstan Range. I discovered that Bridgestone Battlewing tyres are F####ng useless in snow. And its New Years eve?

Thank you for posting that, the earth was closest to the sun during that period too and with a cycle of in 33yrs out 33yrs nobody lives long enough to remember the effects of the cycle so politicians run around yelling the sky is falling. Fecking greenies!
Greens should do what they do best, turn themselves into compost! John.

I was driving to Christchurch yesterday and as I was about to go onto the viaduct it started snowing, Yep snowing on the 30th of december.

It was coming down hard enough for the kids to chuck a couple of small snowballs before we got out of it before we had traction problems.
