    Vodafone connection

I'm looking at getting a second phone to take advantage of Vodaphone deals.
I've never actually had a Vodaphone phone before so I've little idea on how it works.

I have had a new SIM card given to me that was surplus to someone elses requirements.

Can I just go and buy a secondhand phone and plug this SIM card in now?
If so, how do I get the thing hooked up with a number and onto the plan I want?

    Cheers

The sim card will already have a number assigned to it (if prepay), you just need to put it in a phone, and top up if required.

vodafone are better to deal with than telecon

if the sim hasnt been used for a year it wont work. a sim will set you back about $30 i think

pluss you can roam to other countries because vodafone is gprs instead of cdma

They have some quite good pre-pay schemes going.

Make sure you get the name and password from the guy that originaly owned the sim card, otherwise you won't be able to ring vodafone when a fault occurs on your phone. That's if he activated the sim card, which i'm sure he would of. Trust me I learnt the hard way
