    Arrow Where is Jayden?

Given that New Zealand is a small place, I find it difficult to believe that somebody somewhere doesn't know where Jayden Headley and his grandfather are in hiding. It may also be worthwhile reminding people that there is a significant reward for information on offer here -- from memory at least $20,000, courtesy of Radio Live (www.radiolive.co.nz).

Maybe Kiwi Biker can help track Jayden down...

    Jayden's Father Makes Another Appeal

    NewsRoom.co.nz Agency Story at 2:37 pm, 08 Jan 2007

The father of six-year-old Jayden Headley, who was kidnapped five months ago, has made a plea for more to be done to find his son.

Jayden was abducted from Hamilton Public Library in August and is believed to be in hiding with his maternal grandfather Dick Headley.

His father Chris Jones has criticised police for a lack of progress in finding Jayden, saying he believes no police officer is actively working on the case at the moment.

Mr Jones has also called on the Headley family to realise the serious mistake they have made in becoming involved in Jayden's abduction.

He says if they have an ounce of decency, they will contact police so Jayden can be returned home.

I suspect that many people know where Jayden is.
I feel for that poor kid, talk about being torn between pillar and post!
I hope he is found soon, allowed to settle down and put down some roots, and get on with the business of being a little kid.

So sounds like the parents split and the son has his mother's last name? Kinda had me confused for a second

Unless I'm ignorantly confused, sounds like mum's side of the family is keeping hold of him away from the father

You have it in one, albeit in breach of a Court custody ruling in favour of his father. Mum is currently rotting in jail for contempt of Court.

I feel for the guy. I know what it was like when my ex showed up with some goons, scared off the baby-sitter and snatched the boys.

Thankfully in that case some of her relatives were able to talk sense into her enough to get the boys back. Nothing in my life terrified me as much as getting the call from the babysitter while I was at the lawyers, racing home to find an empty house.

No idea of location but judging by the background of pictures seen, they're living somewhere more rural. Looks like they're on the Coast but doubt they would have risked crossing on the Interisland ferry.
90% of the time spent writing this post was spent thinking of something witty to say. It may have been wasted.

Try asking at http://www.oldfriends.co.nz/... it widens the search pattern.

Also privite detectives can work wonders. They seem to be good at tracking people down...

    How old is he?
Do they have a photo? So people know who they are looking for. I could pass some one the street the police are looking for and never know.

Children are children and will always quetion things...

I wonder what creative "stories" are being told to him when he asks where his dad is... I hope that they are not screwing with his little mind too much, so that when his life does retrun to normal, he can adjust in an fairly easy manner.... and not be completely screwed up.
