Need to borrow or use a sandblaster, now! (10 January)

The mechanic who was fixing my bike has advised me today, that the bike needs new plugs or the current ones sand blasted. Not normally a problem, I advised the mechanic that I needed the bike back by today as I was supposed to be going to Taupo tonight. Anyway, he thinks that the bike should start with new plugs ($180) or the current ones which are not very old at all, sand blasted.
Anyone that can help either in Auckland tonight or Taupo tomorrow, it would be greatly appreciated.

I've not got one, but wouldn't giving them a good go-over with sandpaper do the same thing?

I'm advised by my mechanic that nobody blasts plugs anymore. There's some reason that it makes them fail or misfire. He's with BMW.

Are the new plugs they made of gold. Ask if there are cheaper alternative plugs available.

Whereas firing loads of sand at it would be that much better... but then I know jack about mechanics.

Been sandblasting plugs for years. If anything it seems to have extended their useful life (ie I get another few thousand k's before I have to buy new ones)

What time you going to be in taupo tomorrow? I'm actually heading for Aucks in the morning but if it was early enough I could sleep a little later and do them for you otherwise I'm sure my business partner would be happy to do them or you could meet him at the factory (5 mins from track) and you could do them yourself.
    PM if interested.

Whats the ID Code? Should be alternatives. Trumpys offer sounds good though.
