Well upon moving back to auckland from the south island, the nice policeman decided to stop me and hang onto my bike in the impound yard for a wee while, and well, i needed to get to auckland, so alas my poor bike got deserted in the south island, cold and alone she sat.
But with help from a kb'er in rangiora she got out of impound and was safely in a garage.
Now i came to the dillema of how to get it to auckland, after contacting freighting companys and them all being utterly useless either not bothering to reply at all or giving me a ridiculous price, some up to $800.
So i went hmmm biketranz will probably be very expensive, bike specific service, trucksa carry only bikes etc...
But i thought what the heck, filled out an online quote application.
within an hour i had a reply, complete with quote for the amount, and a reference booking number if i wished to continue, i dealt with Adele, very helpful, always quick on replys.
Now me scraping this money up wasn't easy for me so i went hey can i pay you guys via net banking now just so i know i have it all covered (me and money are soon parted, so didnt want to accidently overspend on something)... anyways lol
So sure enough Adele said sure here is the account number etc, the other options were also to pay by cash when the bike turned up etc.
The bike is booked to be picked up this week from the mighty rangiora.
I am stoked with the service so far and will add more to this when the bike arrives, i think it would be pretty safe to say my bike is in good hands judging by the service i have recieved so far...
Incase you are wondering it is a 1982 katana 650 suzuki
Cost me $480 to get her up here.
(which was bloodey competitive in relation to the other quotes from the freighting companys.)
I will update when she arrives, very happy so far
Skid.
