What difference would going from 110/80/17 to 110/70/17 make?
need new front tyre. Got a sport demon on it at the moment which is a 110 80 17.
KBer has a 110 70 17 for sale. It would fit yes? What would it do to the bike handling wise?

It would fit, and sharpen the steering up, maybe to the point of being twitchy.
But. It depends on how fresh your suspension front and rear is too.
The 110 is how wide it is in mm, and the 80 is how tall the sidewall is as a percentage of the width. the 17 is diameter in inches. Don't ask me why the unit standards are such a mess.
The 110/80 will have a sidewall height of 88mm.
The 110/70 will have a sidewall height of 77mm.
This will do similar things to your handling as dropping the upper and lower triple clamps 11mm down the fork stanchions.
You'll see racers raise the forks through the stanchions to speed up the steering in increments of 2-5mm at a time, so 11mm is a pretty big change by those standards.
If a man is alone in the woods and there isn't a woke Hollywood around to call him racist, is he still white?
thanks for that
From my understnading the current tyre 110/80 sport deamon you have is a sport tourer and if you get the 110/70 it will be a fully sport front tyre which is the right one for yours!
It would also have a flatter profile (ie the curve over the tyre will be less), so deaden the steering too.... not sure if it will make all that much difference to your handling, though it will make some....
Queiro voya todo Europa con mi moto.... pero no tengo suficiente tiempo o dinero.....
