    Big thanks

Some might say this generosity was motivated by the kudos gained by helping a high profile rider. This is not the case, I know both Andy and Shaun and can assure you they help everyone they can in the sport, including the strugglers and wannabes. For their their unselfish acts, sometimes they get
thanked, sadly, sometimes not. I hope all people in the sport realise the work of these two guys is way too rare. Lets make sure they're appreciated so that others become like this too.
From me (a struggler and wannabe) and my kids (much better prospects)
a big thanks to Shaun and Andy for your help over the years

Ohh come on Pete... what you are doing for the sport in the South Island is amazing... without people like you, there would be much less fresh blood coming into the sport... so good on you mate!

Re the thread topic - we have spoken about it a little, and I reckon what Andy did is amazing... pretty damn special actually!

Not sure I agree with this. I have been amazed at the number of people willing to help and support (including Shaun whose help I have recieved a couple of times - but he is just one of many for me...)
"...New Zealanders, for all their faults, have virtues that are precious: an unwillingness to be intimidated by the new, the formidable, or class systems; trust in situations where there would otherwise be none; compassion for the underdog; a sense of responsibility for people in difficulty; not undertaking to do something without seeing it through - "

After checking mylaps last week I was wondering what happened to the esteemed Mr Harris.......
Funny, I have been working away on some of the long overdue house reno's, taking my mind off the fact I should have been DownSouth racing (the bike decided I was going to embarrass it with my "frog in a sock" riding "style" and promptly dropped a valve). Anyway, I had an ol' Britten tape plugged in the VCR (it's just like a DVD only not so flat...or round, for you younger types) showing a very fresh faced young Master Stroud. All these years later and he's still kickin' arse....thanks to people like Shaun and Andy Evans.
    Top effort fella's!

I'll second that. Would it be this Andy Evans?

If my memory works (sometimes doesn't), then Andy Evans sold me a barely used RS125 front slick for silly money.
