FWIW, the lack of FM radio is the main reason I don't use an iPod. I prefer my Philips GoGear. In fact, it gets used as an FM radio the majority of the time. National Radio is actually interesting and diverting to have on while one is cycling for more than an hour at a time, which quite frankly is fucking boring otherwise.

Your reason does have some basis to it.

Another is that the form of the Ipod cannot be controlled with say a FM receiver. Quality will drop according to signal strength and Ipod has no way of ensuring a decent sound from this. Hence they let other brands take the rap for poor "form" of FM .....
(said slowly)... The form, has no bearing, on the function of an iPod, with respect to missing features. Even if it had, an FM radio, a voice recorder, and an FM transmitter, the form, would not change. It would still look the same. It would still be operated the same.

    Clear enough for you?

Given the level of understanding of this simple concept, I suspect you just misinterpreted what you were supposed to studying.

    You're still typing too quickly.

You should make sure to pause between each word, after (not before) you hit the space bar.

And how poor performance of "functions" within a product can affect its "form". Not purely physical form but the iPod cool that they love.

A toaster that no longer cooks bread is not a toaster, looks like a toaster but aint. Form says its a toaster but function says it aint.

    Ahh, I see my mistake

There's a lot of good reasons to hate on the iPods, I don't think that a lack of functionality as a result of the form however is one of them.

Yawn. You guys don't argue very well.

Here are some much more interesting arguments both for and against the new iPhone:

    roughlydrafted

    aceshardware
    techdigest
    makezine
And I to my motorcycle parked like the soul of the junkyard. Restored, a bicycle fleshed with power, and tore off. Up Highway 106 continually drunk on the wind in my mouth. Wringing the handlebar for speed, wild to be wreckage forever.

We could start with battery life, and/or its ability to be readily replaced.

/edit: Be be honest, that's not totally fair, a geek with a strong consitution can change one, but mum , dad and your average kid is rooted.

Yeah, it is crap, but that's not really an iPod fault as such... and it's pretty easy to give that the flick. Winamp comes with nice iPod support built in now

I buy an iPod...... how do I, with a clean install of OSX or XP, get music on to the thing?

Considering every other player on the market just appears as a USB HDD?
