ok, suprisingly, I've only just found this thread now... Keen to join in on this ride if it's happening... will wonder down to the Caltex just before 6:30. Hope to see some people there.
Ps. Don't ask me to provide the route...
Forcast: Wednesday
Max: 25°C Min: 17°C
(Day) (Overnight)
Mostly cloudy, some drizzle. Westerly breeze.
Hopefully this 'drizzle' doesn't affect whatever roads we're riding on. I'll TXT Flux and see if he wants to meet up at the Caltex too.
Catch you peeps later

Yay for the Caltex !!! ... I can literally coast down the hill from home to the forecourt without even starting.

Location all good. Tonight I am working late and could be up for dinner out for a friends birthday later, So may miss out on the riding.......
I won't be in tonight.
I have to play "courier boy" and deliver some stuff to Dorkland tonight
well, I'll still be there if the road is dry.. hope to see someone there...

Aww, I'd love to go but my bike still isn't running 100% and I'm packing
I might be able to make it next week... not sure though.
Keep it shiny side up guys/gals and have a great ride

OK, well, it's 5:55pm, and although there isn't any sun, there isn't any rain either, which is always a good thing. Gonna roll down to the Caltex shortly and hang about aimlessly till I get bored or someone else arrives...

I live in Raglan and am a bit of a soft cock and so aren't too keen on riding back over the divi late at night.
Is there any interest is running these rides at 5:15 pm ?
Might not suit those who have to travel from afar or those who want to eat a proper meal first. But hey it works for me, leave work at 5:00 pm, arrive at Caltex at 5:10 pm. Ride for 2 hours, then head home. Still home by 8 ish.
Other peoples thoughts ?

ZeroIndex and I braved the elements tonight and headed over Whatawhata bridge, down thru Te Pahu, Pirongia, south to Te Kawa road then east as far as the main Otoronga drag.
Were gonna carry on at that point to Wharepapa but the skies were grim and the visors were swinging from drizzle-coated on the outside to misted-up on the inside, so we headed back to Dinsdale via some Paterangi and Ngahinepouri back-roads.
Despite the grim conditions it was actually a nice relaxed 125km rural amble. Cheers Zero, see the rest of yaz next week.

Now I'm back in Hamilton (Fcuk Katikati -sorry mum and dad) I'll be there next week. Did go for a ride tonight though, throught the back of.. oh I don't know... where they play banjos and have six fingers... off out towards Raglan then out towards Huntly (back roads) back up Sate Highway 1 and back along River Road towards home. Some dude in a Ford overtook me at 130+ km/h (let him for fun) then he watched as I overtook him at 80km/h as he looked at the back of a truck. A ride of about 1hr, good fun (minus the rain). Then home for some cold beers.... shit life is good. Hope to catch up next week.
Have Fun... or don't do it!!!
