    Hyperpak performance ignitors (CDI)

Hey thinking about purchasing one of these bad boys for my bike and was wondering if anyone has had experience with them and if they really do anything to increase the performance of your bike?Cant find a whole lot out there on the internet so I'm a lil cautious about spending my money

Save your money for tyres & steering head bearings. + check your charging system regularly. You won't see anything from the CDI.
Don't you look at my accountant.

Have some results from the Hyperpak on my Impulse - I will dig it out later if you want. Absolutly no difference at all from the stock CDI within the margin of error. They used to be crap - I knew 3 people who had them in the '80s when Impulses were the race bike to have and had troubles with them dying. I don't know what the current lot is like for quality. My bike hasn't run for a while. Need another motor...

They have a poor reputation for reliability and build quality. I personally can't tell you whether it is warrented or not.

I think it is fair to say they won't do anything for your power output.

See if someone knows why they die. If it's old age in general, you're screwed, but if it's heat of vibration, both of those you can cure in an afternoons tinkering
