The great thing about group rides is that there is someone there to help you get that confidence and if you have questions you can ask, the experienced riders can give tips tricks and help the so call newbies and like you those getting back into riding looking for their mojo.
Also group rides can help newbies (if controled) as newbie follow an experienced rider will be better a learning to pick riding lines adjust the speed for corners and if another experienced rider follow can pick up things the to help the newbie
The idea of the greater Dunedin region get together would be great as well more the merrier, its just great seeing all the bikers getting together and supporting each other.
Hmmm I visit the Chatto Creek pub regular when go to Alexandra... especially if I come up and over the pig route or up through middle march... and was considering joing the club...

I go to give other riders a bit of a wave on the open road and find I'm so busy concentrating on the road and what I'm doing I've been remiss in returning a friendly hello. . . . that will change with confidence I'm sure, one good thing is bikers still do it now as they did 25 years ago (except for Harley riders, they never wave
