    Gloves

    Hi,

I am new to riding and this is my first post.

I have been a pillion on my partners bike for a while now and he managed to convince me to buy a 250 so I have, the issue I have now is that the gloves he gave me as a pillion (which are ok to use) the fingers are to long for me when I ride as there is to much gap between the end of my fingers and the end of the actual fingers on the gloves.

I have been shopping around and trying on all the gloves I can find and I still cant find any that fit me XS gloves fit ok round the hand but the fingers are still to long even youth gloves are...can anyone help me please.

If you've tried a few different shops around and still can't find anything that fits you may need to consider getting some gloves custom made.

Also don't give up on the off-the-shelf ones just yet. There are a lot of different styles around and you might find some that fit. My lightweight summer gloves are quite a different fit to my winter ones so different brands/styles are likely to have different fits.

Also some gloves have different adjustments to others - velcro in different places etc - so you might find you can get some that you can kind of haul further up your wrist to get a better fit (if you see what I mean)!

We could try stretching your fingers... haha.

In fact I have the same problem - square hands with shortish fingers...I can manage though with a large pair to fit the hand width and just a little excess in the finger length. I have found that different brands vary greatly in their proportion. Kiwi designed gloves (eg Quasi) fit better than Euro designs...

http://www.qmoto.co.nz. Quality at a good price. Ask Quasi about finger length... Don't worry about buying over the internet without trying first. My Qmoto gloves fit like a...... glove.

I see "NSR" in your brief description?!?!
    NSR + 250 = sick bike for ya learner-ising!
    Enjoy the 2stroke madness

    Oh you want glubbs too...
I have a pair of Quasi's SPS gloves - great for summer and warmer/sunnier winters, and I have wide-ish hands too,
If it comes to it, can't be too hard/expensive to get gloves that fit your palm, but are slightly too long in fingers, then get the fingers shortened?
If its textile gloves you have, it should be no big probs.
If leather (esp with armour all over...) it maybe be more difficult...

But good mitts that don't leave you hamfisted would be mint to really feel and control the 2stroke ringdingding...or any bike...

Haha yup a NSR 250 it is a intresting learner bike but my partner let me ride his 400 aorund so i thought it would be an ok bike plus it was going cheep. Hmm yea I have thought about shortening the fingers on them but its not a viable option so have to keep shopping around until i find the right pair.
