    Fairing foam

    hey.

i've got a zxr 250c and im about to strip the fairings back and give it a repaint since its had a bit of road rash and i need to replace the top fairing.

just wanting to know how many people paint the inside of there fairings as well as the out side? i ask because when im sitting on the bike you can see quite alot of the inside of the fairings.......

Also is there any magical way of getting the foam (im guessing vibration reduction) off? and would it be wise to replace it after its painted? (i'm guessing yes).

    Cheers
    J

I thought it was a heat-shield to stop the fairings melting?

The foam is common on Kawasakis because there motors are noisy ratly pieces of crap, and the foam deadens that noise. Get some insulation used in heat pump installation to replace it.
