ChCh: Pre-1980 Japanese classic run photos

A nice run to Akaroa today (14th of January). Anyone who has an early classic or interested in them is welcome to join us on the 18th of February. We will be heading out west, route to be advised. This date is not fully finalised but will post again when it is confirmed.

NOTE: Revision dated 14th of February. The next ride will start from the "Peg" hotel, which is the last one on left on the Main North Road prior to entering the motorway. Date is Sunday the 18th of February. Start time is around 0930-0945.
Sorry if this is in the wrong forum, it's my first post here. If you want you can email me at toycollector11@gmail.com

    Cheers,

Just expended a few hundy bucks on a '81 CB400

I really didn't know why, it was just one of those impulse buys. After a couple of hours with a bucket of hot soapy water and an old dish brush I remembered why!

Hmm all that lovely old oil!
Should hopfully be on the road by the end of the week!

Yup, and it came from your neck of the woods (Newlands)!

I got a new clutch cable yesterday, put it on and ... vooom! well impressed for an aging bike it is doing really nicely thank you :-) The brakes needed a bit of bleeding (2 disks on front!!!! thought I was seeing double!) ... I'm getting off topic here arn't I ... ooops :-)

Good on ya, XP@, CB400N's were great bikes in their day,....and not too far off the thread as the original design was a CB400T which came out in about in1978 (pre-1980 )

I saw the poster for that in the window at Pitlane but I was still in the North Island on 14 Jan.

Am keen to go for a spin on the 400F on 18 Feb though. Better make sure its looking presentable......

Our next ride is on the 18th of February. Start at the Peg hotel which is the last one on the left heading north out of Christchurch before you get to the motorway. Kicking off at around 0930-0945ish. Be there or be square. We are going up to the Leader Valley area. Plenty of stops, it's not a race.
