That will be a really interesting insurance claim

I did the second round of the nationals at levels this weekend--bloody good fun
There is a marshal however who is going to have to put in a VERY interesting insurance claim.
    itll go something like
I had my vehicle parked in a feild alongside a very solid tyre wall.
There was a road the other side of the wall
A high powered motorcycle leapt 3.0m in the air OVER the tyre wall and landed on my bike.
The rider ran off and about 5 minutes later I saw him going past at extremely high speed on an identical motorcycle.

On a serious note --Young mister Fitzgetrald has a bruised knee a buggered bike but otherwise got off from a high speed crash very lightly -thank gosh

gee.... the most you expect is a ball flying over a fence and smashing the windscreen at a sport event.....
But a motorbike flying over the fence and smashing your whole vehicle! i bet no one saw that coming!!! thats crazy!

wouldn't be to suprised if it's a write off, it was a Terrano the bike landed on, and it landed on the roof

I remember years ago at a Nissan Mobil 500 an open wheeler of some kind (Probably Formula Ford) had an accident and a wheel came off and bounced down the road, over a fence and went into a car. Smashed the windscreen, bent the roof in good.

Can someone explain how the hell this magician managed to launch a bike 3m in the air and clear a fence? The world's greatest highside? Hit an obstacle? Out of a corner? On a straight?

I remember that. And one of the sponsers was (iirc) Winstone Glass. They paid for the repairs as it was great publicity. The replay got played over and over. Amazing with each bounce how much higher the wheel got!

That's the one I remember. Funny, I remember the car being on the other side of the road and facing the other way.

Still, it was a zillion years ago and I was probably about 2 years old or something.

I think it was caused by some riders braking sooner than Heyden expected them to, his handle bar got caught up on top of one of the Yamaha seats and tipped him off, and then the bike just started to bounce and tumble along and off the track and landed on the vehicle
