a bike can be writen off because of broken fairings and headlights, ive seen it.
writen off is just a term. it dosnt mean the bike is fucked.
Whats more a bike can be writen off and not dereged.
some insurance companies have a policy if its writen off then they dereg it no mater what and that makes it a real pain to put on the road again.
so many hoops to jump through its not worth it!!
so i guess wasp was lucky!

I have to recommend Star Insurance as they tend to match any deal going and they offer track day cover, not to mention that have a good claims service.

Classic cover are good initially, i.e they give you quotes on tiem but i've got a claim that has only just been finalised now through classic cover going back to SEPTEMBER.

One mint thing on their policy thou that no other companies have as far as i'm aware, is that if the pre accident valuation comes back at within 20% of the sum insured, they add GST on top of teh settlement.

So for instance, if you bike is insured for $12,000 and it is a write off, then you will get $13,500 as your settlement.

But if you dont mind waiting for 3 months to get your claim sorted then all good.
