    For sale: rg150 es

Sorry - photos in my other thread for sale. My bad.

    New WOF
    Rego to 21/10/07
    24,450k
Run on repsol full synth and 95 gas
    Does over 200k on a 10L fill (250 once!)

    Location: West Auckland
    Wanted: $2000 ono

Will offer here for a short time before trademe

So, I have a full licence and a GSX600f. I would love to keep the RG but can't afford to run two bikes. I think it is the perfect learner, esp. if you want to move to sports bikes or tourers. Excellent commuter. I have used it every day on a 40k commute, half on the SH16. Happy to trickle in traffic with 3 thou revs on the clock, but can accelerate with pretty much any sports 250s like CBRs etc out there (forget about GNs). On motorway 100k = 8 thou in 6th gr leaving you with plenty of grunt up to (so I hear) 180k tops. Great agile bike, fun on scenic drive and the twisties.
Starts first time and no problems.
    Tyres excellent.

What I have done recently with the bike:
    - Full service by Haldane's with 4000k to the next service (6000k intervals). Haldanes said bike was in excellent condition. $170
    - Brakes bled and filled by Henderson cycles last year $40 - brakes excellent
    - new clutch cable from Haldanes $70
    - new wing mirrors $50
    - chain and teeth plenty of wear left

Basically the bike is ready to buy and ride.

Cosmetically bike bears the marks of a learner bike of this age with few minor scrapes. Overall it looks great and I will really miss it when it goes. Would keep it but ambitions to do long distance 2-up touring on the GSX

Would you happen to know what the seat height is?

Also... Is there someone in the Auckland area who would be able to take a look at the bike for me?

Thanks for any help in advance.

Hey now, trying to get someone to take a look for me first seen as I can't exactly rush down right away.

Whats the height on the fxr compaired to an RG? I know I'm fine on a CBR.

Hi, on the sidestand distance to top of the seat is 75cm (so maybe add a few cm on).
I think on the site I remember Mrs Kendog trying an RG to see if it was a good size and liking it. Do I remember that Beemer said she was 5'1" and also rode an RG? Bike is light and I seem to remember that alongside a CBR250 seat was very slightly lower (could be wrong though).
Certainly I remember seeing off the CBR!

I work out west , so if need be i can have a squizz for ya .
There he goes. One of God's own prototypes. Some kind of high powered mutant never even considered for mass production. Too weird to live, and too rare to die.

And since you are an expert on RG's you'd be able to verify the overall condition too!
In space, no one can smell your fart.
