Could see it really well from our place.
Isn't nature awe inspiring?

Diarrhoea is hereditary - it runs in your jeans
If my nose was running money, I'd blow it all on you...
Don't think any of us will seee it next time round in 300.000 years.
Here is a pic for those who aint seen it yet - as appeared in BOP Times today

Too many clouds in auck tonight. Went for a ride to the bombays via Kaiaua & Mercer, couldn't see so turned around.... No comet but 4 hours well spent.....
Might try Piha on Sunday. How long is this thing around for?

Grass wedges its way between the closest blocks of marble and it brings them down. This power of feeble life which can creep in anywhere is greater than that of the mighty behind their cannons....... - Honore de Balzac
I saw it the other night 19th Jan, after/end of a night ride with my brother. Was great and found a place to park up. Its been mostly couldy since and haven't seen it again.
Photo query, what options/settings are you using. Can I take pic's of night sky/stars/comets with my Olympus 600??
Drove across town to Buckley Rd above Island Bay, only to discover getting home it's perfectly visible from anywhere tonight. Still it was more of an experience for the kids going out at night. Bugger we couldn't get clearer nights last week in Wgtn
Happiness is a means of travel, not a destination
Went out for dinner last night and we discussed driving somewhere to check out if the comet was still visible. Decided that we'll just catch it next time around (after we've been defrosted). So drive up our road to find a heap of cars parked on the side of the road opposite our joint and a bunch of people standing about. I jump out and ask what we're all looking at and get told "The comet" (wanted to say "what comet?" but I get looked at like I'm retarded already!). So we park the car and then go back up when it's a bit darker and low and behold, there it is (if you squint and hold your tongue a certain way)! Was a lovely clear night in the capital last night, perfect viewing weather!
Well seen you asked, I guess someone better reply.
where's Zed when you need him!
Genesis: 1 verse 14:
Abbreviation: God created this comet.
Then how can it be so old you ask?
My thoughts:
We're told (by God) that he created Adam and Eve. Did he create them as new born baby's? No, he created them as adults. He created them with built in age already.
So there is nothing to stop him creating stars and comets with built in age. If this comet seems millions? of years old, (who really knows), then God is capable of making it look that way.
It takes a certain amount of faith to sit on ether side of the 'how did this happen' fence. Can I suggest it takes Less faith to believe in a God who created all things, than the amount of faith to believe in evolution and the millions of years theory. (not that the measure of your faith makes one more right than the other)
We'll close today with Hymn #432
