    Tyres and suspension -GPX250

1.My front tyres pretty bald, riding to Auckland in a few weeks, need a new tyre STAT! its a 100/80 -16, what should I get, how much? It'll be another Auckland commuter, so no superstickys needed really.

2.Suspension on the GPX is REALLY soft. Sucks in the corners, bounces about 3 times after going over a speedbump at around 35, and I only weigh 65kg after mealtimes. Fronts aren't as bad as the rear, but I can just put heavier fork oil in the fronts right? or put some spacers behind the springs so they've got a tighter volume to compress in?
Got an opportunity to buy a GPZ500 shock for $120, I've heard that these do the trick, simple slot in. Is this true, or are modifications required to anything? Will it fix my rear?

    CHur.

Try new fork oil first. Unless your springs are really shot spacers may 'overload' your springs and make for a harsh ride. Good luck

I had a bridgestone battleaxe bt45f (i'm pretty sure thats what it was) on the front of my gpx a while back. It seemed to wear well and was plenty sticky enough, had a nice feel to it too.
