The plan:
Meet a friend in town, ride over to the Rappa to meet Elle335, Lissa and biggles1, ride to Lake Ferry for lunch then ride home .

Hang on .... how did we miss that????

Nasty and I and two friends spent the whole weekend at Lake Ferry camping ground in our overly-large tent. We had to take the Suzzy 4WD to fit all the gear in and by breakfast Sunday we were missing our bikes! Seriously, Nast said just that. Those two days was the longest we'd been without a ride for weeks so we were super-tuned into bikes and bike noises and we didn't hear any Mind you, the whole of Lake Ferry is overrun by quad bikes ... but we thought we'd hear the fdifference between all those signles and a real motorbike.

Our friends were coming back last night until I heard the closure on the 4pm news. I'm so glad we were all set up with a place to stay comfortably ... and really sorry we mised you, we could have put you all up overnight just about

After a really quiet Christmas and New Year's (apparently the least number of accidents over the holiday period for years), suddenly there are fatal accidents happening left, right and centre.
Not good.
