No set distance, would be done on a case by case basis I'd think.

You can shoot possums from the comfort of your own (or an obliging friend's) porch so long as you don't "endanger property or endanger, annoy or frighten any person."

It's probably considered "good form" - in some places - to ask permission first...

And if someone feels endangered, annoyed or frightened and elects to complain, you're automatically in the wrong.

Ok Thanks for the help. I'll try find a number to call for the paddock and if not theres another one my mates olds own bout 10 mins from here so I'm pretty sure I'll be able to go there. Just one more thing. Would you recommend buying second hand to save money or is it a better idea to spend the extra dosh for a new rifle? And are cleaning kits really neccesary?

One of my .22s is an M1 carbine copy by ERMA Werke called an EM1 and if any body reads this knowing where another one is let me know! I really want to loose the scope thats on it, and get the correct rear sight for it.

I was too poor to buy one of the No9s that went at Turners the other week. You needed more than the $600.00 I had.

Does anyone know if the Norinco JW25 is full size compared to a K98? I suspect they are smaller.

Im always looking for wooden furniture for the L1A1, any condition considered.

If you're just starting out, nothing wrong with second hand, you might change your mind etc. Though with the Norinco's you can buy the things new for like $300 with a scope on them, they have little resell value from what I can see on tardme

And yes, cleaning kits are neccesary.

Shit they went for that much each!? I was thinking about getting one, but I couldn't be fucked getting down to Wellington.

I take it you mean the .22 K98 copy Norinco sells?

They're not full size, they're meant to be copies of the K98 training rifles. They look nice though from the pics I've seen on the net.

Yes? No? And are magnums much better and worth the extra money to buy an (I'll assume) more expensive ammo?

    That was a good programme.
They still didn't have a confirmed "price per meal" though... I wonder why the Talitubbies do not attack the American's at their weakest point... the three flavours of ice cream?

Speaking of such stuff, I have a Chinese M1 carbine style 22 semi-auto, it shoots well but the 10 shot plastic mag has a split down the front and it won't fit into the magazine well if there is more than 6 or 7 rounds in it and I can't seem to buy another one, abybody got any ideas where I could get one??
