    Odd accident

Was going up towards Silverdale on the motorway today and the cars suddenly started stopping - good job I keep my distance. Up ahead a boat trailer had swerved left and tipped its boat over the barrier and it slid off along the grass. Bizzare. Looked like the trailer had a puncture as one tyre was ripped up - glad I wasn't riding alongside when that happened. But then again, one time riding in Japan an overloaded truck tyre exploded right next to me in slow traffic - BANG, and a lot of dust - now that is something that will give you a shock, especially at first when you have no idea what the hell is happening.

Good on ya for keeping back. That tyre thing.....i was driving in my car about 6 months ago and a tyre from a truck popped and the rubber went flying everywhere and a big bit hit the car. I remember at the time thinking thank God I wasn't on my bike because that would have got me big time. Even in the car it was scary.....i even ducked

Ive seen the aftermath of something simular and wondered how the hell that happens. At the top of the kaimais, Big aluminum cat' fell off its trailor right on the corner opposite the car park at the top.

Its not something you see very often and the more you think about it..the more it makes you wonder how the hell no one was hurt.

Shit happens, best not to be the shit that it happens to. Plenty of truck tyre tread on the m/ways, missing it, fresh or not is the trick. Luck? hope so!!

I thought this was one of those you slipped getting out of the shower and landed on your cell phone and now you have to go to the hospital to get it back kinda threads. Now THAT is definitely an odd kind of accident.

Bet Speedie has had at least one of those call outs lol.
