    Fabricators working in Auckland?

I know there are a few of you around on here. Do any of you have a position for an apprentice-type position? Havent done any metal work since 6th Form (3 years ago) but im keen to learn, i'm good with my hands and generally pick things up pretty quickly. Im mainly interested in welding/light fabrication. Any info is greatly appreciated.

It's better to not pass and know that you could have than to pass and find out that you can't. Wait for the straight.

    Hi R6 Kid

If you are looking for an apprenticeship contact the boys at Skills4worknz.
Previously ATNZ, Competenz they will give you the best advice if you are interested in an apprenticeship you can contact competenz in Auckland on 0800 275455. First of all try ATNZ or Skills4worknz as its now called, ask for Andy Beauchamp or contact Andy direct on 027 4721378.
Competenz is the Industry Training Organisation for engineering.
If you show you're keen they will snap you up, plenty of fabrication work in Auckland my lad.
Any problems contact me on Freephone 0508 650200 ext 5067.

i do have a strong interest in the trade but unfortunately this is only going to be a short term dig. I'll get in touch with the skills4work guys and see if they can help me out. Im off to join the airforce probably mid-May hence why i didnt want to get into a full blown apprenticeship where they'll probably want/need me to stick around.
