Gracefield once was the location of a legendary motorcycle race circuit in the days of the Marlboro series. Best ride I ever saw was Ginger Molloy on an H2R Kawasaki. Bike wouldn't start (push starts for races in those days) and he was left on the grid for what seems like minutes. Never have I seen anyone ride a bike so hard once he got going - the thing was getting bent all out of shape when it landed after crossing the railway tracks halfway down the main straight and he never backed off for a heartbeat. Nearly caught up the lead rider, who IIRC was Geoff Perry on a TR750 Suzuki. Classic days and equally as good as Wanganui or Paeroa.
it's not a bad thing till you throw a KLR into the mix.
those cheap ass bitches can do anything with ductape.

    kn'oath Pete.

I grew up watching the Gracefield races.

And I'm proud to be Hutt born and bred.

Married a Hutt girl too... well Upper Hutt actually
And I to my motorcycle parked like the soul of the junkyard. Restored, a bicycle fleshed with power, and tore off. Up Highway 106 continually drunk on the wind in my mouth. Wringing the handlebar for speed, wild to be wreckage forever.
