Red face From a truck driver's perspective...

While driving around Auckland all day everyday, you do get to see some sites. (Not as good as some of my colleges - Specially down Queen/Fort/K rd in the early hours etc..)

Ive been taking my camera to work to take photos of problematic customers (I pick up Plastic and Cardboard with a Frontloader Truck) and 1 picture as they say is worth 1000 words.....so if there are any complains....

I'll just keep posting pics on this thread..........

    1. Don't put rubbish in where?
    2. Bush's opinion
    3. The trucks are breeding - Courier Post
    4. Is that Magic in your mouth or on the way out?

    A couple more..........

    1. This guy got my attention running a '06 Dealer Plate but then I saw something else on the car..........

    2. A good closeup of a typical Jap Import

    3. Has anyone seen my drainpipe?

    4. This guy got 'bellied' on the road. Being a 4-wheeler and empty it just spun the wheels. Traffic had to reduce down to 1 lane on the busy Gt South & Church St intersection...

    5. Closeup of the truck. Note the towball and how it dung a trench into the tarmac........

    Haha, classic!

Saw something last week that made me wish I had my camera, a Reclaim truck tipped our cage, then proceeded to drive out the gate with the cage still on the forks, raised over the cab!

    Methinks he was new... lol

Hahaha for a minute there I thought you might of been talking about our new O/D. He's damaged about 4 buildings, hit the door on the way out @ Mays Rd and has more cardborad in front of the packer than behind it!

Saw that happen a couple of years ago behind Big Fresh (now Woolworths) in Johnsonville. Tipped up the cardboard cage & opened the flip top lid - straight onto the deluge fire sprinkler! Filled the truck up and had to open the back to let the water out... Apparently he quit - wasn't an owner/driver...
They shall not grow old as we that are left grow old.
Age shall not weary them nor the years condemn.

    we will remember them

Cant be as bad as 1 driver who took out 1 lampost, down on Auckland's Quay Street years ago....... the only problem is that pole pulled down the next pole, then the next pole, then the next........something like 10 poles on the ground with live wires It's just a hazard of the job.

Haha, c'mon, you WM types have all hit that stupid door at Mays at least once...

Now of course, to see stupidity in action, you need to follow one of the Onyx trucks in as they are about to tip.

Potted 2 of their runners sitting in the bowl of the packer, puffing away on ciggs, surrounded by paper and cardboard, with 12m of card in the packer itself...

We really should rely more on natural selection... lol

Actually this did happen a few years ago now.

A rubbish guy was lying in the back on the tip crusher truck out west auckland..... and somehow the machine started working and the young fella was crushed to death...
He was only young as well... first day on the job.

The employers changed the rules etc about them lying down in there.
Guess some dont learn from a bad mistake.

Nope - I used to ping them for OSH type infractions frequently - almost always for smoking, but occasionally it was opening the back of the packer, and walking up to clear shit from the paddle or the ram, smoking through the building, where a couple of hundred cubic metres of paper and cardboard just happen to be piled up, smoking da ganja outside the gate waiting for the driver to tip, then leaping back in and going off to collect more kerbside...

Still, you pay peanuts, you get monkeys.

    Or worse, Paperchase owner/drivers...
