This press release came through from the Jared Love camp... thought you guys might find it interesting:

Next Sunday, the best of the best of NZ Motorcycle racing will fight it out for the 2nd and final round of the Battle of the Streets. This is always a popular day out with over 15 thousand attending each year.

Jared is feeling confident and determined he can win the last round of the streets for the season. The Ducati is looking good with new graphics and a new sponsor in Power Horse Energy Drink joining the team.

Paeroa is Jared's favourite event and a track he likes to beat after suffering life threatening injuries racing here a few years ago. His determination and fight to survive have carried on in his racing and he is guaranteed to be pushing it to the limit for this years racing.

So far this season the bike and Jared have suceeded many times, breaking a number of lap records in both NZ and Australia and we would like to finish up the season the way it started, with a win.

We hope you can all make it to Paeroa next Sunday and the team look forward to seeing you all there.

Good luck to all those taking part. Sorry I can't be there to share the moment (the joy of being self-employed I guess) Give it heaps.

The Missus and I will be there, got a call from my Sis last night and 2 of my sisters and Bro-in-laws coming down up and over to it! Be a diverse triple of bikes - mine, a '97 Softail Custom and a new C90 Boulevard!

First time I'll have been there for it so looking forward to the day! Where's the best place to get a good view?

There are a few good places to watch. The Hairpin has some cool backing in points, the main straight is fast as hell, the back straight is bumpy as shit, so the front wheels are in the air most on the time.

If your in the middle of the track, you can walk to the start/finish straight and the Back straight without a problem. It will take a bit to walk around the outside of the track, but there are some good viewing points all around it.

Dont think it matters where you go. Its great viewing everywhere

Cool! One of the Bro-in-law's sisters lives in town so no probs with parking the bikes and gear. Not sure which end of town she lives in though. Just txtn my sister now to finalise plans.
