    Steering dampener bracket needed

Can anyone suggest where I can get a mounting bracket for a steering dampener (dampener to fork leg) ?

The dampener mounts on the frame beside the fuel tank and runs up to the fork leg.

I don't know the dampener brand as it has no markings on it, but it is pretty standard, about 20mm round shaft.

    The fork leg is 40mm.

I have seen two brackets in a similar set up, and there are two pivot screws - I could post a picture if need be.

    Any ideas ?

How about modifying a broken clipon?

You could drill and tap a hole into it, then screw a rose joint into the hole

Deano.... if this is for your cbr400 then you need a 41 mm dia bracket.

You can get the item you want from any of the larger bike shops but try TSS or somit they should have it in a catalogue of accessory parts even if its not on the shelf.
If you have no joy i have a mate that will make you one to drawing.
Try to get one that has a longer leg on it so you can then get the travel you need to still turn full lock.
    Cheers Paul.
