What a great day, definately worth riding back from Napier yesterday for (via Taupo).

Thanks Lissa and Sels for organising and hospitality.

Drum and I headed back over the hill, parting ways back in the Hutt, after which I went for another blast up the Taka's and back. That wasn't enough so another run up PK hill was in order, followed by a paua burger with extra bacon in Plimmerton.

That sort of carry on is the reason why a usually don't get home from TCWNR until after midnight!

I think its called Plimmerton Fisheries or something. Owned and run by Greeks (Greeks make the world's best shark and tatie)... head down Steyne Avenue to the little roundabout, and its right there as you turn left onto Beach Road.

Really bummed that I missed this ride!! Sounds like you guys had a really great day.

Unfortunately I got beaten up by a 3 year old and can't ride my bike for a week or so... (i.e. fell over while playing 'chase' and sprained my wrist... not one of my best moments!).

Bummer - they don't call you Slides for nothing then?

Sorry you couldn't make the ride.
