I had some Pirelli Super Corsas on mine, a 190/55 rear, and did it track nicely in the corners.
Then I got a puncture and now I've got a Metzeler on it. Don't like it...
May bite the bullet and go for more Pirellis...
I'm on the Metzeler M3's at the mo, and find them very predictable, they have given me a little bit of drift in the very tight stuff but have never given me the feeling of ohshit! I'm gonna lose it.

Metzeler and Pirrelli arn't they owened by the same company now?

Same as my Avon Azaro Robert - see attached pic. Getting on the gas whilst leaned over, warm weather and a rough surface all contribute to that wear pattern. No worries at all mate.

    Thanks Geoff.
I used to be able to read the ripple patterns on my race car and adjust pressures and/or suspension accordingly but these damn bike tyres are round in both directions!!

You have to be taking the piss. 11,000 km out of a rear on a busa and you're woried about some unusual wear? It's hard to tell from the photo but it seems that you might be a ricepaper's thickness away from the steel belting.
