    Zippage

Reading the many excellent posts on how to mitigate road rash has given me pause for thought. My leathers lack the zippage required to effectively join the pants unit to the jacket unit. Does anybody know who in Auckland could instal a zipper of sufficient strength to robustly connect my units?

    Cheers JB

There is a shop in K-Road (sorry dont know addy) that specialises in leather repairs etc.

They did exactly what you want for Hellraiser and he was very happy with the job. (hes very easy to please though, just ask the sheep)

Thanks Dude, I pretty easy to please as well....

Got a PM that said the same thing:

Kerrie is the lady to speak to at:

    Motorcycle Safety Wear
    31 Saint Kevins Arcade
    Karangahape Road (K' Rd)

    Phone (09) 309 9522
    Fax (09) 309 4147

Head down the flight of stairs, and on your right is a 'exit'... head towards that and she is then on your left... the shop can be quite hard to find at first...

Phone first to make sure that she is in, as she has to pick up or drop off her child at school etc..

That'll do me - cheers all

Just a follow up, Picked up my leathers last night and Kerry has done a fantastic job, cant have been easy matching jacket and pants of different brands. She unpicked the old zip out of the trousers and replaced with a better one, unpicked the sides of the jacket and took in so the circumference matched the pants exactly, then installed the matching zip. All in they fit perfectly and perhaps most importantly my ass doesn’t look as saggy as it once did.

May have to cut down to 1 pie a day now

Great news A - I'll certainly use her when the time comes.

One pie a day eh? I haven't had a pie since before Xmas and feel deprived! Fancied a Coro Steak and Oyster pie one day up there but they were bloody well closed! Mind you, absence of pies means that I'm now down to 83 kg

Yep and thats proving to be a bit of a struggle. Mrs JB bought me the great NZ Pie Guide and those Coro Pies are rated highly. Will have to get across for one shortly
