Our "make it up as we go along" LTSA are being very vague about my situation.
I'm importing new 5th Wheelers from the US. 5th Wheelers are like a caravan but with a trucks trailer and a heavy duty coupling (hitch) for a flat bed truck. The first one I'm bringing in is 32 feet and the shipping weight is 3633 kgs. The carrying capacity is a further 1300 kgs.
Any trailer over 3500kg's needs a CoF. Here's the tricky bit. I can't seem to find a classification for it on LTSA's website. The closest is a semi-trailer which can't have an overhang more than 4 metres from the middle of the axle. In my case the axles are nowhere near the rear of the chassis like a truck trailer. They're just back from the middle.
I know I need to get a hubometer but what else should I be aware of?
