Airless tyres, now for bikes too...

Michelin have developer a air less tire just over a year ago... No they have made them for bikes to...

    I think it's a great idea,as a bike needs it more than a car...

Mmmm... they might be lighter. Less unsprung weight - better handling.
    ...or they'll be complete poos.
    Keep it rubber-side down...

Have wondered why they're not standard for race road cycles for ages. I run mine at 124psi which is just like riding on solid rubber. so why not make them solid rubber ... then I wouldn't have to deal with damn punctures

    Easy answer. Money money money.

Don't know about bikes - that says scooters which have a lower loading.

It would be good if they could design a good reliable one for motorbikes.

Rapidly deflating tyres are scary enough, but the blowouts you can get when running tubed tyres are really really scary. I've had my fair share and don't want any more.

I don't think these kinds of things would hold operating temperature very well though.

I don't think you really want the extra unsprung weight on a sprotbike. It might work for tourers.
    Speed doesn't kill people.
    Stupidity kills people.
