I realy would have liked to say I would have been there, but when mentioning this one to the other half... I did not get the usual "off ya go" vibe... More like "I think it would be nice to spend time with the kids over the long weekend"... mmm not sure I can get away with asking me daughter... I know she will say "yes". Though the consequenses may not be in my best interests

Wicked, it is a great rally that one... I am considering the Cold Kiwi this year, was gonna go last year, but things did not work out right.

Yeah, had a blast at Cold Kiwi last year- first rally I've been to. Mate came along too (_intense_) who had been to Monkey and said it wasn't as great so really lookin foward to Monkey based on that report and how much fun I had at Kiwi

i'm definately going to have to budget for all these rally's for next year might have to get another job lol..... "off the rails" sounds interesting could be just a day ride for me on that one.... and you are so right there nighthawk $5 is a steak sammy or 1/2 tank of gas for me some thought i was silly prepaying for Vincent in case i didn't go .... don't know what was going to stop me other than death or bike not going

MMM what is the "Off the rails rally"? the others I will be sure to be at. Including the Hororata, and Mokinui.

Is the Mokihinui still on? I heard a romour it was going to be at the Seddonville Pub. anyone got an entry form or any info on this?

What are the dates of the March Hare and where is it ? Mate is keen on doing this rally. We are going to the Monkey as well which is pretty close, for us anyway. Not much happening up here, gets a bit expensive going all the way down just for a beer or two, Woodstock cost us around $550 ish just for gas and ferry, thats almost a days wages up here for us jaffa's. And we didn't even hear alot of people rolling their rrrrrrr's. But we did like your roads.

Seems to be that way but there's three NI that I can think of:
- Cold Kiwi (Waiouru) in September
- Cold Duck (Hawkes Bay) in May
- Sulphur City (Rotorua) though I don't think this is a rally in our sense of the word

Cold Kiwi might be worth a blast up north but its the same month as the Little River up here in Chch and the Pissed Penguin down scumdog's and ruralman's way.

thats about the only ones I know too... The cold kiwi isn't too bad... I have done it twice back in errrr 1990 and 94. Don't know what its like now though... I don't know if the Wairoa rally is still going... I only ever did the first one...

When was the last time there was a decent North Island rally report and pics on KB??

I'm just thinking about it at the moment.

But I may do a day trip there and back to have a look at the new site.
May go down the middle early in the morning and home up the coast at night.
Travel light and quick-ish with only a few stops.
Two stops on the way down there, last one to top up the tank and one on the way home.
