thats what i want, but the kumera fuckers wont allow it. and so long as they keep being handed shit on a silver platter, no one will be just a kiwi, itll be us the white maggots, and them, the brown faggots.
till the govt grows a fuckin spine and realises we are only new zealanders, we will be divided till the end of time.

Ya know - i read the title of this thread and you have lumped us altogether based on what a couple of people have said *shrugs*........that's kinda sad. It certainly shows that there will be no "One NZ" until some attitudes have changed.

I'm all for them having rights to their kumara. If they can identify their original strain.
Will they pay for the right to use introduced foods?
Speed doesn't kill people.
Stupidity kills people.
The Sad thing about this thread is the eagerness most of you show in Bundling all Maori into one group, despite the FACT it is only a small group of Maori wanting the commercial rights to the purple spud, that unfortunetly has brought out the Maori bashers amongst us, lastly those attitudes (displayed on both sides Maori and others) I refer to is largely responsible for the division in New Zealand and said attitudes are why NZ has so many racial issues and tensions. So if you are a New Zealander and you do love your country my message to you is to grow up and perhaps travel a bit so you can see how good you have got it and in the meantime think about healing our countries issues and for European Maori and other ethnic groups if you cant heal then fuck off to another country cause youre a SHITE Kiwi.
Ive run out of fucks to give
Why is it our burden to heal the racial issues caused by an apparent minority of Maori?
All most of us want is for these wankers to shut the fuck up and integrate, abiding by the same rules as every other fucker and receiving the same rights and benefits. No more no less.
There are no racial issues in New Zealand, no one is really discriminated against (bar the white man) and if you were so well travelled you'd realise this.
Put the past to bed.
Quasi - thank you. That's the frustrating thing most for me. I am lumped into a basket with everybody who is Maori. It's like I don't have a view and am not an individual at all. It's stunned me a bit in a couple of these threads though at just how closed minded some people are. Certainly makes me sit up and notice for sure. It's kinda sad but I also realize that people may not be able to say these types of things away from the computer so I guess everything comes out in a forum because we are relatively anonymous. I certainly wouldn't lump the rest of kiwibiker in with the views of some in here. It's an individual thing after all.

GOOD MORNING DOVER!!
By integrate i guess you mean we all are ONE culture - which is yours? That would be a scary thing by what you have written in a few posts. I wouldn't want to see NZ as that at all. It's sad you cannot see how awesome both cultures are. You might need to actually get out there and realize that NZ as a whole is actually a great society and people accept more than just one culture. BTW I will make sure I am out of your way if ever I am on a bike ride with you![]()

A) I didn't label you or lump you. You did that for yourself
B) Those that know me know I'd say exactly the same thing in person, probably with more cuss words too.
I'll heal it. Stop demanding money and rights and a whole heap of other shit and it's healed.
Bully's yer uncle.
wake the fuck up you thick bitch.
I never said one culture, you're a typical fuckin maori with a chip on your shoulder about culture.
I'm not even a kiwi. I have friends of all different cultures, Muslims, islanders, indians, sri lankans all fuckin sorts. I grew up in africa (NOT SOUTH AFRICA< WEST AFRICA), england, scotland, the caribbean and lived in a number of other countries and I've been accepting and embracing different cultures since I learned to stop pissing my pants.
BUT, none of these other cultures demand recognition or demand reparation.
They love to SHARE their cultures, not force feed them.
Integrate on a social level. Abide by the same laws. Receive the same rights.
The rest I couldn't give a fuck about. I love the cultural differences in my mates.
Dover Rover........
I think we see things totally differently then and it amazes me that you would say the things you say on here in person. Say, you meet me, discover I am Maori, then you go for it? MY GAWDof course I would laugh anyhow. I have views on things as well but I would certainly make sure they are well grounded before I headed out and spouted off. Intolerance springs to mind!
Anyhow, I have to make myself up as "Aunty Rangi" and head off to the 7s! You have a great day!

The real sad thing about this thread is that still no one has read the original article linked in the first post.Six pages of racial slur over nothing. The Maori don't want the Owairaka red (purple spud) but the original pre european strain. The controvisy is whether or not the thin white flesh kumara they have is pre european or an early european strain. If they can make commercial gain over something most people, including Maori, won't eat then good on them.I'm all for saving history.
A similar story to the kuri or Maori dog - Maori ate their dogs, good protein eh bro.But they quickly interbred with european dogs, the meat became unpalatable and so the kuri was of no use to the Maori as a food source. The kuri disapeared into the canine gene pool never to be seen again. They will probably breed back to a pit bull and claim that.

Hang on - I didnt see this........you are name calling now?Is that meant to make me sit up and listen to your drivel? I think not! In fact, it kinda makes me think that you are like a little bully who needs to yell and stomp to get anywhere. Why on earth would you call me a thick bitch? I cannot abide by what you are saying and you can't with what I am saying obviously.......maybe you just need to do the adult "Agree to Disagree" thing. That might work.
btw - Aunty Rangi in the picture is especially for you![]()
Again, you have a wonderful day and smile!

I joked a bit earlier on in this thread but in all honesty, I really do wish everyone could just get along regardless of race or religion.
In the same way that the Islamic Fundementalists cause problems for the rest of the Muslim polpulation (and, regrettably, the Sikhs, who have stuff all to do with any of the problems going on in the world..), so too do those Maoris who keep insisting on having this, that and the other given "back" to them.
I accept that it is just the militant minority screaming about their 'heritage' and their 'rights', but it is a bit like a stuck record. Why can't the govt just put an end to all claims under the Treaty by saying 'no more, enough is enough'. Then surely we'd all HAVE to get along cos there'd be none of this "OMG, listen to what the Maoris want now *sigh*" and none of the retaliation that inevitably follows.
Then, surely, we could get on with the business of building this country up, side by side, rather than keep dragging it down into the dark ages.
I always wished for the same back in the UK. So much of the racial tension was caused by certain groups appearing to be given more rights, or more benefits, or more of whatever is the latest crap to be given. At a grass roots level, most people (barring those people who have truly weird views on how to treat those not from the same gene pool) are more than happy to get along quite nicely with anyone. It's the governments giving credence to claims of "I'm entitled to this because of *insert perceived race/religious need here*" - treat everyone as equals, don't allow the race card to be used, don't allow the religion card to be used. Level the playing field, give everyone the same opportunities, let everyone's consequences be the same if they don't make use of those opportunities.
I'll get some grief for this post because I know we'll never live happily together, it's human nature to think that you're entitled to more for whatever reason and to be pissed off with those who stake claims based on their perception - but it'd be nice if we could just try.
And yes, that includes having the Maori militants letting the past go and moving on.
(hell, if I can learn to accept the French then there's hope for EVERYONE!!!!)
Hanging on in quiet desperation is the English way
