If you dont have a ski jacket/pants you can hire them there. A jacket and pair of pants costs $7 each for the night and hirage of gear is $14 (Skis/boots/poles or Board/Boots). If you want to ski/board for 1 hour its $29 but the better deal is $39 which gives you 4 hours so you can come and go as you please and gives you more than enough time on the slope. Have a look at their website www.snowplanet.co.nz

    Something to take into condiseration:
Everyone who skii's or boards MUST HAVE ski gloves. Just one of their regulations - try to keep the snow clean I guess.

    Here's what Snowplanet says:

    Your first visit

Please bear in mind that it is -5º Celsius inside the snowdome. Warm clothing and gloves are highly recommended for your own safety and wellbeing. We do rent out jackets and pants (limited stock only) and gloves and hats are available from the Snow Centre.

Someone mentioned to me earlier that it may benefit us if we did a group booking. But I'm not going to do that. Why? Because (as other people have found out before organising these kind of things) some people say they will come then don't and other just turn up without putting their name forward first, so it very difficult to get numbers of people attending. However I am sure that the deal they are advertising on the site (which I have posted on this thread) for the 4 hours for $39 is a bloody good deal.

To answer your question Nicksta, just rock on up! No need for pre-booking.

If some of you want to start skiing/boarding a bit earlier, thats fine we will see you in the restaurant around 6.30 onwards. The system they have there is a swipe in/out. As soon as you go out of the ski area your time stops so you can go and have dinner/drinks/bathroom stops/smoke etc...
