Yep they're identical to lots of honda levers, I just love the simplicity of that. Hell the hornet 919 has the same levers as my MC19.
I have deep pockets. It's just that it's a deep empty pocket...........

Talking to a guy about his 60s Triumph (got to ride it too -- on the condition that I could kick start, and I could Up the road and back again), and he said it took him a long time to work exactly when his bike was built, because it was such a bitza. He was saying in the UK, it's very hard to find a completely original Triumph because nearly all the parts across different models and years just bolted up -- it was done this way to make it cheaper and simpler at the factory. His bike has bits and pieces across all different years and models, when bits wore out, previous owners had just got cheap bits from other bikes and bolted them on, yet it still looks very holistic and Triumph-like.

Honda seems a sensible sort of place, I wouldn't be surprised if a whole range of different things matched up just so.

    Just to add:
MC28 brake caliper is the same as Fireblade from year 94.

    Just to add:
CCFL or neon tubes for VTR1000SP1 can be used on MC28 with no problem
