But now I can easily say that most people have to work for a living, the rest of us just fly around in jets. My passion became my job and has been that way for nearly 30 years. I wouldn't want you to tell my employers this but its been such a hoot, I'd a done it for nothing..!
Mate, can you please give me an idea of how much money I will need to learn, how much time I will need to devote while learning and how long before I can start earning a good living if I chose to learn to fly and become a pilot? I have no flying experience, have thought about flying in the past but it hasnt happened, flew back from the Barrier today and I was seriously envious of the pilot, his job looks like a blast! Im about to leave a good job and start a small business but would very much like to move onto flying in the next few years, is it feasable that I could learn to fly while working 9-5 mon-fri???

    Appreciate any advice!
    Cheers

    Fact 1
There will be at least one fucktard in any job you have in your life
    Fact 2
There will always be fuckwit customers in any job you have
    Fact 3
The grass is apparently greener on the other side......

Which brings me to fact 4
You will never grow your skills unless you jump outside your comfort zone, and experience new vocations, but never, ever, ever quit a job because of fuckwits, learn to work around them, confront them if necessary, but never let them dictate the enjoyment you take from your job, or it will haunt you wherever you go.

I'd suggest finding something new first, the politely hand in your notice.... don't go out in a blaze of fury, it's just not worth it, you will need references, and you won't get em if you mouth off at the boss when you leave.

Fuck, I sound like my Dad 20 years ago.....

    Hey dude,

    What about option 5?
    5) Study up hard and get some qualifications

(I don't know what sort of educational background you have, but if you're at McD's and getting pissed off about it then I suspect you may have untapped potential)

There are loads of Polytech courses - a lot going for free (or at least heavily subsidised by the govt.)
You only study about 20 hours a week leaving you loads of time for part-time work and riding
    6 months = certificate
    2 years = diploma
    3 years = degree
If you can commit to 3 years and a student loan - get to University.

(Oh yeah, once you have a degree (in anything), you can teach English in South Korea earning about 50-60k and they'll fly you there and back for the privilege)

Release that potential you have there young man!
    Keep it rubber-side down...
