5-6hp? sounds like a guess to me which means it's probably crap, the only power difference I've heard of is between the nc30 and nc35, the nc35 was restricted due to jap power restrictions

ahhh well, I've got a guy coming down tomorrow night, bringing money, and most likely buying my bike for the above asking price, so looks like i'm gonna be waving goodbye to the best bike I've ever ridden tomorrow night

I wonder which ones are the 'later models' then? 1990 was the first year for the NC30, safe to assume all 1990 NC30s are 65bhp then?

Later models were restricted by power, with 59 PS (44 kW) being the limit for 400cc motorcycles, but this kind of restriction generally requires much more difficult power-increasing techniques to circumvent.
The NC35 (RVF400) has slightly smaller carbs (1mm IIRC), perhaps those are the later models they speak of?

Took a little bit of time, but you got the sale in the end. Well done. Still, always sad to see them go when you've put so much work into them. On to the next step in the master plan?

    back on trademe

Looks like your dearly beloved is back on trademe due to the buyer having "two near misses". What a waste.

Guess she might be doing the rounds in Christchurch for a while!

oh man, to be honest I'd rather he sold it if he can't handle the jandle, I don't want to see it smashed up, there were a few people contacting me once I lowered the price, so he shouldn't have any trouble selling it

    Ahahah, what a pussy.

On another note... I saw a black NC30 parked on the side of Strowan road, Friday I think... instantly thought of yours, although this one had a big white spider graphic on the side. Didn't look half as ghey as that sounds!

Could very well be! I thought it looked like a big ass spider, but could very well have been some ugly Honda logo!
