Pirelli Diablo Corsa III - Track tyre pressures

8th January 2007 I put on a pair of these tyres. Bike is transformed compared to the knackered Pilot Powers I took off ( see previous thread if interested ). Tyres perform great from my limited experience but tore up badly on the track, especially Manfeild. I was running F31 R30psi as I did with the PPs. Four trackdays and 3600km in three weeks and they were buggered!!

Danny at Botany Honda shows me a review he'd just received on the Corsa 3s when I talk to him about it. Reviewer is on a GSXR-750, and like me ran F31 R30psi at the track... tore his up too. Advice from Pirelli following this was to run F32 R34psi....

So on 27 January I put on a second set of Corsa 3s and ran the advised tyre presures at this weekends two trackdays and the wear rate was MUCH better, without any noticeble drop in performance. Saw a guy on an R6 with the same tyres on the dummy grid on Saturday, about to scrub them in. He was running 30psi in the rear and tore it up in that session. Increasing the pressure for later sessions worked for him too.

Dragon Supercorsa Pro tires and i was running @28psi F&R on a motard and was getting wobbles from the front end in mid corner whilst at speed. Some very cleaver person in the know told me to do my next track day @ 34psi WOW what a difference totally stable. the only thing i was warned of is they don't heat up as fast or as much but that didn't seem to cause me any problems yet !
Eagals may soar but weasals dont get sucked into jet engines
