He's a nice guy when off duty. He has even been known to show off his "long baton"...

The battery was starting to get a bit lifeless a few weeks earlier even when I was riding it regularly - running with the auxilliary lights on the crash bars plus the hotgrips might have challenged it a bit!!
Anyway its got a new one now - and now the warning light is stuck on for the engine management system from trying to start it with a flat one, so I've got to take it to Honda Otago to get the error thing dealt to.................

BUT - YES I should use it more and YES it is time our paths crossed again - got any time off next week?

Get a tuneboy unlock code from triplefourensics, then you can read and clear your own error codes (instead of paying $40 +Gst for the triumph dealers to spend 2 mins pressing buttons on their game boy).
Will be in touch with more details

Yes and no. Unlock code is about $250 nzd which allows custom fuel mapping installed. Could get someone (like TripleFourensics) to do the remapping for you, and not need the cable.
Cable + software are extra $430 nzd which allow you to do your own mapping and error code clearing etc.

Hey Jack?...anyone down your way want to organise something like this http://www.kiwibiker.co.nz/forums/sh...ad.php?t=72686 for June 28th? Have a look at it mate, fundraising for your local Resuce Helicopter, in post #2 you will see links to others that have taken up the idea. Be fantastic to have the whole of the country involved on the same day.

Hey, congrats on getting the dirty smoker back on the road! Just in time for winter. Frost, ice, freezing rain. You know you love it.

its not too bad yet - I've just got back from a 1600km trip up to a field day near Seddon. Lots of night riding, bit cold at times but no ice yet, and at times it was quite warm. Amazing how many big trucks are on the road at night - seems to be more than during the day.
Had a night with Mr and Mrs Shrek in the back blocks of Harwarden. The KB network is great for making new friends.
