sweet just got back...ended up going thru that route to sawyers bay and for the first time i experienced two new things!!! one, unexpected gusts of wind scare the shit out of me, going up north road i was almost blown onto the other lane...fortunately the road tends to be empty all the way. and coming back with the harbour to my left it happened again considering my bike weighs 114kg its fairly easy to move lol.
and secondly im sure someone here has had it happin going over some bumps i moved forward a bit and slammed my crotch into the gas tank.....fairly unpleasant, in fact certain words i dont use around my mother were spoken inside my helmet. the road to sawyers bay is called upper junction road and is down hill all the way completely empty and really twisty, i didnt have a real go because it was wet and im still getting the hang of fairly sharp corners and the 'look where u want to go' thing. but now i have found some nice road fairly empty and lots of corners im sure ill be sponsored in no time haha....oh an 98 is now $2.10....its insane

Heh, should have mentioned there are a couple of bumps in quick succession along that little bit of downhill. They caught me out too... more than once

    KB Dec get togther

Hi everyone - if you are thinking or hoping to come to the get together in Dec please put your comments on my latest suggestion on this thread

    http://www.kiwibiker.co.nz/forums/sh...t=68979&page=6

    Thanks
Hope those going enjoy the Brass.
Looking for a good set of panniers for the Tiger now - burnt a bloody hole through my right hand bag on the throw over panniers. My piece of kao wool blew out on the first part of the last trip before I had that bag loaded up Wasn't going back to cut off another piece. I've never been that happy with the way they look or the way they sit on the bike - just another of lifes problems that goes away when you throw money at it!!!
