Well had an awesome day, met at the southern, and was a good turn out was a mix, this site members, the other site members, and non internet members. However we still had no idea what we were doing for the day. After much discussion and umming and arrghing it was decided that we will go to Alexandra for lunch, via Lawrence, where we found out that Fatzx10r water broke... we were thinking that Silvergrin's wife Michelle should have come she would have know what to do...
On to Roxburgh for a quick fuel stop, and then Alexandra and the Badger Bar for lunch.
After an imported burger with badger meat and after thought feed of wedges we were on our way back via Ranfurly and Middlemarch. Most turned off at Omakau, while a couple of us went via the top road through Lauder and Becks, and timed it perfectly as we past the Ida Valley junction, we saw a couple bikes ahead, and couple of bikes still coming down the valley road.
Into Ranfurly for fuel and a bit of a rest and chin wag. On our way again turning off at Kyeburn into hide and to Middlemarch... Our spidey senses were working and working well... on the long straight Mr Plod sitting in the cover... then a couple more km's down road mr plod number 2... we all waved and said thank-you spidey senses...
Into Middlemarch and a coffee break and off again to Outram, Me Cold Comfort and Hayden went up and over 3 mile hill... and home.
Simply put... awesome... perfect day, brilliant day, I could afford the petrol. There was a hint of wind on after Middlemarch but nothing really to write home about...
Only trouble with water, is it makes bike dirty, I had strict instructions to keep it clean, as it still has to get vinned.
Sounds like that was a good ride on monday, wish I could have gone, but alas dealer plates and a 30km radius from the bike shopDid however go on a nice ride with Heinekin, went out to Aramoana, and sat in the sun for a wee while, then came all the way back, down 3 mile hill to a mates place, then went back up 3 mile hill to Heinekins place, and then I went back down 3 mile hill and back to the boyfriends place. Was a lovely day for riding, was certainly getting used to the new wheels by that stage, did a few km's over the course of the weekend. Might have to try and come on the next Dunedin ride and meet a few of you guys and gals, by that stage, I should have freedom

The club meeting is on tonight Tuesday instead of the usual Monday so if they have a new date I will post it here.
Yep - that was me. I also got to have a go on a friends lovely blue Yam 600 so may have been in the same class as you for a couple of sessions. My god sportsbikes are sooo much more fun on that long teretonga straight, 50k difference in tops speed to the Motards woooohoo! There is usually a reasonable contingent of Dunedin riders at any Teretonga or Levels meeting. Say hello to any of us and the Ingll boys are quite friendly too.
Don't forget that if you want in on the Otago Clubs Have a go day at Levels on the 8th November you must pre-enter by the 5th November as you can't just turn up like you can at Teretonga. PM me if you want a copy of the entry form.
Well i was the one on the wee blue gsxr400 everyone was passing down the straight in the newcomers section.
I was only getting 160 out of it witch i was about 30km's short on what i was expecting from when i owned one years ago got 200km's out of that.
Have talked to a fella from otago club about joining the club and will see how time goes for levels.
cheers

Holy crap.
Somebody made the comment at the Southern before we left that your rear tyre was a bit ...erm... smooth.
Obviously it doesn't take long to hit canvas.
No worries though, nobody went over 100kph the whole ride anyway, ay.
