Yup. Turn right at the top of the hill after you leave Fortrose shoreline. Proceed through Waimahaka, Pine Bush, turn right again at the top of the hill into Letterbox Road, through Glenham into Wydham. Nice road; I use it quite a lot.

Rode that road the other week (from the Mates rally) but from Wyndham... was a good road a good mix on twisties as one would expect from the catlins

Yup, good signposting. The Letterbox Road turnoff has a clear area on the corner with gravel heaps are or have been stored.

Pity I wasn't as fast as I looked eh, but the headwind took a whole second off my last years time even though the bike is a little faster now.

hey dude, cheers for that. It was great to turn up somewhere you know noone and find people being really friendly. It really made the day for me.

I would love to head down for the "Burt" but have to spend time with family. But planning on going next year. (So saying, you never know what will happen )

We are going for a day ride to Wyndham on Sunday. We went to Teretonga last year and it was fantastic.

Probably leaving the Mobil Garage on Portsmouth Drive at around 7.30am. We may go via the Catlins and then double back to Wyndham. Unless anyone knows of a sealed road from the Catlins to Wyndham.

I will post a more accurate departure time closer to the day. Feel free to join us. The more the merrier. (b.t.w. On these trips I cruise, I don't race - I quite like having my licence!)

We are leaving Mobil Portsmouth Drive at 8am on Sunday for a day ride to Wyndham via the Catlins. The more the merrier. The weather is looking okay. Around 20 degrees (possibility of early morning and late evening showers - shouldn't bother us).
