Rumour has it that Ruralmans nuts are tax free and he has a lot advance orders and expressions of interest from all round the country!

Security is tight down on the farm so keep a tight grip on your own nuts or at least declare them before you enter the premises.

Just a caring thought for your welfare. Enjoy your visit, Cheers John.

    Hi everyone,

Sorry, it looks like Mutley and I are out of today's get-together. We've got a family emergency (daughter admitted to hospital). We need to stay in town today.

Bugger - we were looking forward to this. Catch you all next time.

Just had a look at the pic's you posted and the ride report NH.
Looks like you all had a great time. Good company, great weather, and a good ride, life doesn't get much better. Wish we could have been there.

Update on daughter. She had an operation 3 weeks ago and has picked up a wound infection. She is in hospital for another night as they give her antibiotics to clear the infection. This might sound a bit over the top but she has multiple allergies, one being an allergy to penicillin and its derivatives. This is the type of antibiotic she needs to fight the infection. So they need to keep her in to make sure she isn't going to have an adverse reaction.
Hopefully they will let her out tomorrow.

NH's website temporarily out of action so I'll have a look later to see what he's said and look at the pics.
We missed you K & L and hope your daughter is well on the way to recovery - those other complications will make it complicated.
Not sure what happened to Silverfern and her hubby - thought they were coming too.
We could have coped with a few more blokes - this man alone palace was taken over by a group of very capable women - got ordered around in my own kitchen!!!!!
Had a fair bit of leftover food and some desserts which didn't get used at lunchtime so most of the group stayed for tea as well, but they're all away now including Botb with a couple of very tired kids.
We'll do it again sometime so hopefully those who couldn't make it today can get here then - maybe next time it will be more of a bike day with a few local loops. Not all are going to the rallies this month but it would be good to organize a group ride down to the Catlins area - Kaka Point for lunch or something maybe in early May?
    Cheers B

Sorry I missed the party! I checked with the son that was most likely to be coming and he wasn't so I was just about to leave when another son rang and said he was coming.
Looks like you all enjoyed the day.
Hope the young lady has a quick recovery.

We sure hope she’s back to 100% in no time. I have to duck in to the hospital myself tomorrow, one of my workmates was washing his truck the Saturday before last when his darned ticker decided to fly to bits on him, and so I want to check up on him.

Hope your workmate is on the mend Smokeyging. Not alot happening in Dn public as most of the staff are on holiday. Daughter desparate to go home. Good sign she is on the mend. However they are keeping her another day as they are trying a different painkiller on her. Antibiotics seem to be working.

Today is another glorious day in the south and as per usual Virago and I are working on replacing rotten weather boards on the house, so we can get the house painted before winter.

Both of us stop periodically and look wistfully off into the distance, thinking how nice it would be, to be on the bikes and leaving all our cares behind. Well got to go as the hubby is nagging at me. See ya'll later.

Hey there jimjim, I went for a ride around to Waitangi late on Friday afternoon thinking maybe you might see me going bye but there must have been too many other old codgers riding around over there and I got lost in the crowd!

Saw a couple of other friends over there but it would have been a bit fruitless asking if they knew jimjim from KB and Dunedin!

I have been down that track before and the authorities have only just agreed to let me stop taking the pills.

It was bloody cold on Friday night but the little ride was worth it, sorry I missed you! :spudwave:

The rest of the weekend weather was pretty good though aye. Cheers John.

WE ended up having another impromptu get together today - I took my boys in to Dn to look at and then bought a TTR250 that was advertised on Trademe (good light trail bike for around the farm and on the organised off road rides we do). Had a few bits and pieces to take back to Dn that had got left behind here and stashed my trailer at G's place. While there NH and WHN turned up and then Delphinus - we ended up all going to see that Black sheep movie - quite bizarre, quite funny, quite gross and I'm glad I didn't take my daughter (she's too young to get in anyway).
Enjoy the Middlemarch rally those of you who are going and I look forward to the next get together.

I'd have to do something like go and buy a Ducati to regain my character?????
