I assume from your comments about laughing in the face of mother nature and about how tough you are that you are now agreeing to be the subject of unbridled ridicule should you pull out of riding up there on Sat because of the weather????!!!! - even if your riding buddies are pulling out.

Seriously though - take care in that wind 'cos it looks like you;ll be getting plenty. There is a technique which sometimes helps a bit where you kinda pull your knee out on the side of the bike the wind is blowing in from - it can help keep it upright a bit better and reduce the tendency to get pushed off line.

Ride safe and have a good time
Yep enjoy the ruggers (double boring) Ah whats a bit of bad weather...we arent as soft as you think..(but I will be taking my hottie)

    Ride next Sunday 22nd April

Assuming next Sunday is a decent sort of a day who would be keen to do the ride down to Kaka Point etc that we talked about on our Easter ride?

Kaka Point for lunch? I'd meet the Dunedin riders in Milton (Jantar are you interested? - anyone else from further afield??).

WE'd take the turnoff after the Crieghton overbridge and go out via Lake Tuakitoto and Kaitangata (all sealed) to come out at the bridge in Balclutha.

After lunch the trip down to the lighthouse is well worth it - a few kms of gravel but no trouble on any bike if you take your time (possibly the odd pillion seat for this bit if necessary) - the views and the wildlife down there are well worth the effort.

Plenty of options after that depending on what you like - anyway who's keen?

Yes, I'm interested. But I'll be in New Plymouth around midday on Sunday ready for the Southern Cross start on monday, so KP may be a bit far for lunch.

How about some of the Dunedin riders joining Nadroj and me in Taranaki for lunch on Sunday? I'll be heading away on friday, and crossing the straight on saturday. Kaka Point is just SO CLOSE to home.
    Time to ride

I have a meeting in Balclutha on Sunday morning so I could meet up with you guys either in 'clutha or Kaka Pt. Got any idea of when you'll be passing thru 'clutha?
