Went for a test drive today on a rebel, down at the ice skating carpark, (was also to help me get more confidence - which really worked)
Guess what NH made me do? Practice hill starts, in the rain!! I suppose it will get me ready for the infamous Melville st
The way I am going it might be purchase by committee.
Gave up on the rebel as didn't really like the riding position, and my hands/wrists really started getting sore.

Best thing to do is sit on as many bikes as you can, and make your own decision about what suits you.

The Rebel is a reasonable learners bike, semi-cruiser style, and is very low to the ground. Performance is mediocre.

Give Mutley or myself a yell if you want to try out her Virago. Sunday is supposed to be a good day...

The sore wrist problem may be a symptom of the low-speed practice work, Mutley had the same problem when she started out. You'll adjust to it fairly quickly.

I'm thinking of doing some "bike-sitting" myself tomorrow morning. Thought I'd try the Suzuki Boulevard C90T for size...

Nighthawk couldn't just look at the 250s. Some of the ones he was looking at were lots bigger. I had to keep taking him back to my section

Whats this ... the pot calling the ketle black??? I remember a certain KB gravelly obsessed member being an hour late for a rondevous at Lawrence and its only 8 minutes down the road.

And just why did you immediately jump to the conclusion we were talking about you huh huh??? Are you telling me that people might think you were occasionally a little late getting places???

OK - so who's been looking through the shower curtains - I didn't think anyone had see my gravelly member!!!!!
