So Xaria, where did the email/PM go to that you were going to send me when you were going out for a day ride,HA. OK I have had a bad back, so wouldn't have been able to ride anyway.

Lovely day for a ride. K and I where mouthing "B'stards" at all the riders out and about in the sunshine because we were jealous.
Oh well there is always the weekend and thank goodness for pain killers.

Anyway, Congrats on the venturesome ride. Great to see your confidence building. May you get those pants soon, so you can have longer and longer rides.

    Sorry Jantar, I'm working Sunday

Plan for tomorrow is to go for a ride around town in the morning and open road ride in the afternoon. Typical that I am meeting people in town at 2. Wonder if I can get them to move coffee to Milton...

It won't be long Xaria till you're stealing the keys to the big VTR !! - keep it up

I went into M & Veitch today and bought one of the final few pairs of Draggin jeans they had on sale (reduced from $220 to $160) - Theres only a few pairs left if you're interested so be quick

I don't want the big VTR; It doesn't have a warrant.

Went for my first solo outing. Had intended to just be driving around town, left, right, straight ahead, where does this road go... and somehow ended up in Brighton. Wandered my way back into town and by various means ended up on Taeri road, thought that I know someone up here and went off to Virago and Muttleys. Got the street right but couldn't remember the number. Continued wandering around town and ended up safely home.

Went off for coffee and shopping and when I got home again, I went to put the bike away out the back and ended up laying it down. Finally got it lifted and put away and then got NightHawk to check it out. All OK but the battery is still playing up so I will get it looked at on Monday.

Thats about it for todays ride report. Hope everyone else had fun in the good weather.

    Great ride report Xaria.
Sounds like the ride was a great adventure.

    Question who's who

Bad luck with the lay down the X. at least you did it at home. I've done it in public. Although I must say, I've always had a knight in shining armour who comes over to help get it up each time.

    On a slightly different note...

Are there any KB decals out there for sticking on our bikes. (or even our letter boxes - having read X's last post)

Being new here myself I still can't quite remember who rides what so I can't give you a toot if I see you riding by.....

    Just a thought....

    Hi Kemit,

Various site merchandise is available, including stickers. Mutley and I have them on our bikes, and have KB shirts too.

Click on Quick Links, scroll down to Merchandise.

Spring Summer warmer(ish) weather... lets start organising some regular rides again. As well as some newbie rides as we have a few new learners amoungst our ranks that want to join in on the fun and increase their skills, so will need some mentors to help the learners.

Even a couple of weekday rides and as well as weekend.

Good idea NH - I was also thinking we need a decent "big day ride" as well as some newbie ones. The one I'm thinking of is basically what Dangerous and Rashika did from Scumdogs place to the Pissed Penguin.
Basically Dunedin-Balclutha-Clinton-Mataura-Wyndham-Fortrose-Tokanui- Diversion out to Curio Bay to look at the petrified forest - then back through the catlins - Owaka- Balclutha and home.
Probably about a 300-350km round trip from Dunedin - ALL SEAL - for those in doubt.
It would need to be a nice day - sometime in October or early November. Theres a lot of really nice riding in this trip - but if you want to tottle at sub legal speeds then its probably not a trip for you unless you want to do it with a group of like minded riders. I know Delphinus is keen (should have his trumpy back early next week) - if theres others keen and it only suits to do it in the weekend then post something, otherwise we might do it some nice week day.

Sounds like a good idea to me. The 'Southern Scenic Loop' could be the southern equivilent of the Coro Loop.
Besides, I could meet up with you fullas in Clutha and you could call in for coffee on the way back.
