Thanks guys... good to hear the bike scene is strong down here. Northland has some good roads like you said but you don't get the big open spaces and lack of cages that you get down here. I could not believe how quite the road out through middlemarch was...
Yep can be nice and quiet thru there. We have some nice bike friendly roads that dont see much traffic![]()

Haha yeah it can get a bit windy at times hey.... My girlfriend just got her first bike a wee FXR150 I took that for a test ride yesterday and experienced a bit of a head wind on the way home!![]()
Yep Its well known for its wind alright not always like that tho ... haha must have been a bit hard going alrighton a wee bike

One of the best things about Dunedin is that in every direction there is a good ride. North: The loops out Palmerston etc, East: the Peninsula, South: Southern scenic route, West: Middlemarch and central otago. Really different roads / weather / traffic in each direction too.
Come and ride the Southern Roads with us.
