    Reading spark plugs

I saw these links on another forum, so can't take any credit for them, but they give some bloody useful info on reading plugs. Particularly useful I you are trying to squeeze every last pony out of a 2 stroke without melting things...

The first link is very general. The second one is more detailed for those trying to tune.

Yeah its funny, but when I've been out at the track, everyone knows roughly how to read plugs but only to a point of
    • it's way too rich
    • its about right
    • its way too lean
Hopefully this will help with the finer points of tuning 'by eye'

The NGK site shows what to expect when using leaded fuels, unfortunately not much good unless you are running avgas, the other site is far more useful to the average user. Good finds and info
Its not the destination that is important its the journey.
