    Interesting day.

Left on time this morning at 8am (that is a shocker to start with)

Had a not bad run down to waikanae. Got a little amusement with a cop setting up one of those machines that tell you your speed as you are going past. GarryH chickened out of testing how high he could get the numbers to go but then the cop was sitting right next to the machine

Ride over the akaterawaawaawwawassassasswssa? interesting road that is. Not alot of room for error.

Made the meeting point on time (another shocker)

Up to top of takas and back down. Played follow the leader all over the place. Some nice twisty roads. When we got to the BBQ I was only 30k from my sister who had a kid 3 months ago and I hadn't seen yet so I took the oppourtunity to run down there and say hello.

The ride home was a bit of a wander. Nice weather and no trouble.

    Cheers

Today was prob the longest ride I have ever done I'm shattered. Pity my GN isnt quite fast enough to keep up most people, wont even mention those guys on top of the hill on my way home who laughed when I turned up on my Ginny... after being left behind .

Also a little side note... the Wairarapa Sprints are on this Sunday!!

I wasn't on the ride, but i had arrived at the top of Paekak hill a few minutes before everyone else showed up.

Was pretty quiet up there till another 40 odd bikes came along! Was good to meet a few of ya, and I may have to join you on a ride sometime. My bike even snuck into a couple of photos

    Great day for a ride!

Ahh that would prolly be Spittie (Nick). He's had his bandit for a week and that was it's 3rd ride for him. Apparently it had been parked up somewhere for months so when we lost him on the run up Kaitoke it was because it refused to go faster than 40 all of a sudden. He gave it a Ruatoria Repair and it's running just fine now.

Geepez, no one has EVER taken that many pics of me on a kb ride - good work!

Here are 3 of the pics I took that were under 1mb

edit: heh, these photos are still in their native whopping 3072x2304 size and it looks like the scenery preset worked really well for the background

You must be moving up into famous status then - that ride on the GN250 10 days ago must have clinched it I reckon.
    Cheers

Great ride folks, too bad we didnt get to the "Rapa, it was one of those calls
you make sometimes....least we knew which coast was definetly fine.....
Thanks Lissa for organising the ride, I reckon we had over 40 at Rimutex, even if they didnt all make it to Kapiti. That Moonshine road is a bit of fun isnt it? Look forward to going to the next one - we'll get to Lake Ferry then.
Great to see the Manawatu guys, the 'Rapa crew, and Sugilte and Alice who came down from Hawkes Bay.
    Few more photos
